Real Madrid agree terms with Chelsea for Thibaut Courtois – Reports

Real Madrid have agreed terms with Thibaut Courtois as per The Sun. Los Blancos are now edging closer to sealing the deal with Chelsea according to the report.

The Belgian goalkeeper has made it clear that he wants to move to Madrid. He said, “My personal situation is related to the city of Madrid. My two children live there with their mum. I have my daughter every day on FaceTime. She often tells me that she misses me. My son is still too small to communicate like that. Whenever I have the opportunity, I try to return to Spain. As a situation, it is not always easy. Yes, my heart is in Madrid. It is logical and understandable.” said Courtois.

Madrid see Courtois as a long-term replacement for Keylor Navas. However, he is not their only target right now, and reports suggest that they are also looking at Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris.

Chelsea are reluctant to let go of the goalkeeper without getting a replacement first. The Blues do not want to be left with Willy Caballero and Rob Green and are actively hunting for a young goalkeeper.

The Premier League side reportedly want €45 million for Courtois. He has just one year left on his contract and is not willing to sign a new deal.

Sportsmail, meanwhile, report that Tottenham won't be listening to any offers for Hugo Lloris and will rebuff all bids. They are not willing to let go of any player this season and especially not their captain.

Reports suggest that Daniel Levy has already rebuffed approaches for Mauricio Pochettino and Harry Kane. The chairman is willing to go to war with Los Blancos to keep hold of his prized assets.

Apart from Courtois, Madrid are also interested in signing Eden Hazard as well.
