Mino Raiola puts Paul Pogba questions on Man Utd amid Jose Mourinho row speculation

PAUL POGBA’S agent Mino Raiola has put pressure on Manchester United as questions over the midfielder’s relationship with Jose Mourinho continue.

Pogba and Mourinho are understood to have clashed in recent weeks over where best to deploy the France star.

While reports in France have suggested the 24-year-old regrets rejoining Manchester United over Real Madrid. In United’s last two away games, Pogba has been hauled off by Mourinho and was dropped to the bench for the clash with Huddersfield.

But according to the Telegraph, Raiola is “baffled” by the situation and when the paper attempted to contact the 50-year-old regarding Pogba, he told them to direct their questions to United.

Mourinho is likely to be pressed on the matter at his press conference this afternoon.

Raiola's grip on the Red Devils is beginning to loosen with one client, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, already being sold.

Pogba, Romelu Lukaku, Sergio Romero and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are also all represented by Raiola.

Reports elsewhere have already suggested Raiola may also begin to explore the possibility of moving Pogba on when the transfer window reopens in July.

But only if the current situation does not improve.

But former United midfielder Paul Ince believes the arrival of Alexis Sanchez is the reason for Pogba’s struggles.

He told Paddy Power: “If what’s being said about Pogba is true, that he regrets joining United, then I’d be disappointed, but not surprised.

“I can understand why Pogba might feel irritated with the position Mourinho currently has him playing in.

''

“He likes to roam, he likes to attack. He wasn’t signed to be a holding midfield player and that’s clearly not what he enjoys or is best at. So why does he insist on playing him there?

“Alexis Sanchez wants to be on the ball and wants to be part of the action. You can’t have both him and Pogba roaming across the pitch, because then you’ll lose the shape of your team.

“The signals that are coming from Pogba is that he’s not happy and if he doesn’t feel like he fits in, then I could see him leaving in the summer.”
