Liverpool looking to make a move for PSG’s Adrien Rabiot – Report

Liverpool have got in touch with the agent of Adrien Rabiot according to ESPN. The 23-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and the Reds are looking to sign him on a free transfer.

ESPN claim that they contacted the player's mother, who acts as his agent, over a move to Anfield next summer. They are willing to meet the player’s wage demands and want him to sign a pre-contract in January. Players who have less than 6 months left on their contract are free to sign pre-contracts with other clubs.

Jurgen Klopp is reportedly a big fan of the Frenchman and is keen on getting him. The manager has been a fan of Rabiot for a long time and tried to sign him at Borussia Dortmund as well.

PSG are trying their best to avoid a free transfer of Rabiot and have put an offer on the table for the Frenchman. However, Rabiot is said to be not happy with the offer and is looking to leave the club soon.

Liverpool are not the only side to have shown interest in the midfielder. Barcelona have been chasing him for a long time and are still keen on signing him.

The Catalan side were in talks with PSG over the summer as well but the French side rebuffed all bids. They reportedly wanted £45 million plus bonus for him and the Spanish side pulled out of the move.

Barcelona are also in talks with the agent and are trying to persuade the Frenchman to join them. They see him as a cheaper alternative for Paul Pogba, who has been their #1 target since Mino Raiola offered him in the summer.

Rabiot will have a big decision to make in January as he will have three big offers on his table.
