Cristiano Ronaldo: Real Madrid star furious at offer for Man Utd ace David De Gea

REAL MADRID star Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly been left furious at what the club are willing to pay Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.

Manchester United star De Gea is expected to sign a new Old Trafford contract, despite Real Madrid making him their No 1 choice to replace Keylor Navas at the end of the season.

The Spain international has been in stunning form throughout the campaign and impressed as the club drew 0-0 against Sevilla in midweek.

Real are expected to pursue his signature with Navas set to be shown the door having struggled for form so far this campaign.

And Spanish outlet Don Balon say Cristiano Ronaldo has been left livid after learning of what Real are prepared to pay the United star.

Ronaldo has spent the last few months sulking over a new contract.

The 33-year-old wants Los Blancos to grant him pay parity with Barcelona and PSG superstars Lionel Messi and Neymar.

But the Portugal international’s erratic displays have seen Real refuse to bow to their talisman’s demands.

He currently pockets a handsome £22million each year but Don Balon say the La Liga giants are willing to pay De Gea £17m should he leave Old Trafford.

And Ronaldo feels aggrieved, thinking he remains Real’s most important player.

As a result, the former United star feels Madrid should be focusing on his own contract rather than trying to sign De Gea.

Meanwhile, pundit Paul Ince thinks Real will try and sign De Gea regardless of whether the goalkeeper signs a new deal.

He told bookies Paddy Power: “David de Gea is the best goalkeeper in the world. He has proved it time and time again, consistently, at a top level.

''

“He’s ahead of everybody in the Premier League, and the save he made from the header last night was superhuman.

“He keeps Man United in countless games, and you have to wonder where they’d be without them sometimes.

“Performances like against Sevilla will only attract more attention of the likes of Real Madrid, and I do still think that is a true threat.

“I hate to say it, but I still believe he could go there.

“That interest will never go away, and every time the window opens someone will be interested in him.

“I would say at this stage you can pretty much name your price for him. He’s one of the best ever.”
