Barcelona Transfer Rumour: Everton submit bid for Lucas Digne

Everton have officially submitted a bid for Lucas Digne according to RMC. The Barcelona left-back is valued between €18 million and €22 million as per the report.

Marco Silva has taken over at Everton, and the Toffees are working on getting him all the players he needs. They are willing to break the bank thing summer and have already signed Richarlison from Watford for a club-record fee of £44 million (plus £6 million add-ons).

Digne was signed by Barcelona from PSG to provide competition to Jordi Alba. However, so far, he has not been able to push the Spaniard to his limit and has not impressed whenever he has got a chance.

The Merseyside club are keen on Digne and see him a perfect long-term replacement for Leighton Baines. The Englishman turns 34-years-old this year, and they are actively looking for his successor.

Barcelona are open to selling Digne and have blocked Marc Cucurella’s move away from the club this summer. The youngster was set to be loaned out, but with the Frenchman leaving, he will be added to the squad as a backup for Alba.

RMC report that Digne has not yet made a decision yet. Barcelona have informed the player that they will let him decide between staying or leaving. They are willing to keep him at the club but will not guarantee him playing time.

Reports in Italy claim that Juventus are also interested in signing Digne. Alex Sandro’s future at the club is in doubts, and they will decide on the Barcelona star only after the departure of Sandro.

Several La Liga sides and Borussia Monchengladbach are also reportedly interested in signing Digne this summer.

Meanwhile, the Mirror claims that Everton are also close to sealing the signing of Barcelona centre-back, Yerry Mina.
