Bale feels Madrid are more united without Ronaldo

Gareth Bale feels Real Madrid are more collective as a unit without Cristiano Ronaldo, who switched to Juventus earlier in the summer. Although he admitted that the club would be different without their all-time top goal scorer, the Welshman feels the situation is more relaxed without the presence of Ronaldo.

The 33-year-old sharpshooter completed a shock £88 million move to Juventus on a four-year deal, stating that he was looking for new opportunities and challenges. He recently scored his first goal for the Italian giants in their 2-1 victory over Sassuolo.

Meanwhile, Bale is thriving in the absence of his former teammate as he already has netted three goals in four league outings for the Galacticos. More importantly, he is now Madrid’s main man, if the goal-scoring responsibility is taken into account.

Speaking to the Daily Mail about Ronaldo’s departure, he commented, “Obviously, it’s going to be a little different, it’s going to be a little more relaxed. I guess it will be more about the team, working more like a unit than concentrating on a single player.

He also accepted that he was furious to have not started the Champions League final against Liverpool. “(I was) angry, quite angry, to be honest. Obviously, I felt I deserved to start the game. I'd been scoring goals. So yeah, I suppose it was hard to put the anger aside.”

Bale also said he would not reveal who according to him is better between Zidane and Lopetegui. However, he stated that communication and conversation with the latter is easier. “Obviously, it helps, I can speak in Spanish, but maybe I won’t need to go into the amount of detail I normally would,” added Bale, whilst revealing that he speaks English with his new boss.
