Arsenal boss Unai Emrey sweating over piling injuries

Arsenal boss Unai Emery looks a worried man and has admitted that the Gunners are likely to venture into the January transfer market if his sides performance continues to drop.

The North Londoners were beaten 3-2 by a spirited Southampton side on Sunday, thus bringing an end to their 22-match unbeaten run across all competitions. The defeat has left Arsenal 5thin the Premier League table, three points behind 4th placed Chelsea.

Unai Emery is happy with how his young squad has performed so far in the season however, he has not shied away from telling the media that he is considering options.

“Only if we think the players can’t help us with a good performance. January is not a good transfer window for this reason, but we are going to look and the club is working for transfers in January, but also we are in a [good] way. We are making progress with young players and giving them chances, and when we need to give them more chances to play and show their progress we are going to do that.”
