La Liga giants Real Madrid are reportedly readying a world record £200m bid for Tottenham Hotspur's goal-scoring machine Harry Kane and plan to sign him before the beginning of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Real Madrid are languishing at fourth spot in the La Liga table with their front three consisting of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema scored a combined of just 14 league goals this season.
Meanwhile, Harry Kane has netted 20 league goals this season which made him the highest goal scorer in the top 5 European leagues in the calendar year 2017 with 56 goals with Leo Messi scoring 54 and Cristiano Ronaldo netting 53 respectively. Kane became the first player to outscore Ronaldo and Messi in a calendar year, since 2009.

Recently, when asked about Kane's future, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino told 'The Times', 'I want Harry to play here as he's one of the best but could not force any player to stay against their will.'
On the other hand, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy told ESPN, 'We're not interested in selling our star player and I can assure you that he will be playing at Spurs next season.'
And when the man himself. Harry Kane was asked about the situation relating to Real Madrid's interest, he said, 'I've always said, just keep progressing, keep getting better. We want to start winning trophies — that's the aim. As long as the club keeps doing that, then I'm happy here.'
What happens in the future remains to be seen but as long as Kane is treating fans with his blockbuster performances, interest from clubs like Real Madrid will only keep growing before eventuality strikes.
