Real Madrid: Neymar to stay at PSG, claim club’s Sporting Director

Neymar's future at Paris Saint-Germain has been the talk of the town for a long time now. It has been in doubt ever since the former Brazilian forward signed for the Parisian in world record deal worth €220 million.

Recent reports claim that Real Madrid are still interested in the player, and will make a move soon in the wake of Ronaldo’s departure to Juventus. However, PSG official, Luis Fernandez has said the Brazilian is not leaving the French capital.

Fernandez, the sporting director at PSG's training centre conveyed to Radio Marca that he believes Neymar will stay at the Parc des Princes for the time being. 'Neymar has decided to stay at Paris Saint-Germain. He wants to succeed, after not achieving much at the World Cup. I think he wants to win titles with PSG,' said Luis.

Rumours of Real Madrid's interest in Neymar grew after Cristiano Ronaldo decided to leave the club. The Portuguese star joined Juventus for €105 million and was unveiled earlier this week.

Neymar was hinted to be the ideal successor for Ronaldo, and there have been reports time and again that he was keen on joining them as well. He has been a fan of Los Blancos ever since his childhood.

But now, there are other reports that Real's attention is all on Kylian Mbappe. The 19-year-old forward was one of the biggest forces this World Cup, helping France win the coveted prize for the second time in their history.

Fernandez was also confident of keeping the French youngster at the Parc des Princes and said, 'He will also stay. He has said it, one hundred per cent. He wants to win the Champions League with PSG. [FFP] does not worry me. The important thing is that both Neymar and Mbappe want to stay at PSG.'

With PSG confident of keeping both Neymar and Mbappe, Madrid might have to turn their attention to Eden Hazard. The Belgian is keen on moving to Bernabeu, and this might be the best time for them to sign him.
