Paul Pogba to stay with Manchester United this season – Reports

Some good news for the Manchester United fans as midfielder Paul Pogba has finally taken a decision about his future and it has been reported that he doesn’t want to leave the club ahead of the 2018-19 season.

According to reports in ESPN, Pogba has neither has interest in leaving Old Trafford nor wants a pay rise to stay at the club in spite of the heavy rumours of him wanting to move out of Manchester.

Of late, Pogba has been linked with European giants Barcelona and his former side Juventus but Manchester United are refusing to sell the midfielder.

It has been understood that Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has been instrumental in convincing the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner for a move from Manchester but the player himself is content with his current club. In fact, Pogba himself has not asked the club for a move.

Pogba, who joined Manchester United in 2016 for a world-record fee, was enjoying his break in the United States and has joined the club a day before the 2018-19 season gets underway when Manchester United will take on Leicester City in the season opener on August 10.

Backing up this development, a few media agencies in Barcelona have reported that the Catalan giants have agreed for a deal in principle for Ajax's Frenkie De Jong as a back-up for Pogba if the Dutch side fails to qualify for the Champions League.

Mourinho will be delighted to see his star midfielder to stay, especially after having a dull summer transfer window in which his side managed to sign Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant. United are making several last-ditch efforts to sign a central defender and are linked with the likes of Jerome Boateng, Toby Alderweireld, Harry Maguire, Diego Godin etc. with the transfer deadline for all the English clubs just over a couple of away.
