PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN boss Unai Emery is “optimistic” Neymar will be fit to face Real Madrid in eight days time.
The Brazil international picked up a nasty injury in PSG’s 3-0 win over Marseille last night.
The Ligue 1 side moved 14 points clear at the top of the table, but the result was overshadowed by Neymar’s knock.
The 26-year-old twisted his ankle and fell to the floor in agony as team-mates surrounded him to check on his well-being.
PSG medical stuff rushed to his aid and had to be stretchered off the field.
Neymar was visibly affected by the injury as he could be seen in tears as he was taken off.

'We will wait for the examination, we will be optimistic.
“If I had to say today (whether or not he will face Real) I would rather say yes to being optimistic.'
PSG face Marseille again on Wednesday night in the French Cup quarter-final, and Thiago Silva has suggested Neymar will almost certainly miss that game.
'Neymar already had a swollen ankle,” Silva said.
“I’m not a doctor, but I don't think he'll be available on Wednesday. He has to rest.'
