Manchester United refuses to sign new contract

Things are going from bad to worse for Manchester United this season. They have had a patchy start to the league with 2 wins and 2 defeats.

Their defeats to Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham in back-to-back game weeks have cast a shadow on Mourinho’s future at the club but he’s not the only one with an uncertain future at the club right now.

Anthony Marital has put contract talks on hold at the club according to reports in England. The Frenchman is not happy with his playing time at the club and wants to take time before putting pen to the new contract.

Jose Mourinho has not played the forward regularly and reports suggest that the manager is not happy with the Frenchman. The manager was furious with the player for leaving the pre-season tour of USA despite the fact that Martial had gone for the birth of his child.

Martial is not happy with the treatment he is getting from the manager. With reports of a possible rift between the two, United are said to be handling the situation delicately.

The forward reportedly wants to wait and see if Mourinho has a future at United or not. He is not willing to sign a long-term contract if the manager stays out at Old Trafford according to the report.

Martial has a new long-term contract on the table and is reportedly happy with the terms of the new deal. The only thing stopping him from signing the contract is Mourinho and nothing else as per the report.

Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and the two Milan sides are said to be interested in signing Martial. However, the player intends to continue at United as long as possible.

Paul Pogba is also in a similar situation and it will be interesting to see if United get rid of Mourinho in order to keep the two players.
