Manchester United eye £40 million bid for PSV star Hirving Lozano

Manchester United are readying a bid for Hirving Lozano, according to Tuttomercatoweb. The Mexican World Cup star is in demand right now with Bayern Munich and Barcelona also linked with him.

The winger was a key figure in Mexico’s World Cup campaign, and the scouts were sent to Russia to keep a close eye on him. His stellar performance in the victory over Germany caught everyone's eye and then all of a sudden the PSV star was in demand.

ManUtd are reportedly willing to spend a £40 million to sign the winger. Lozano is under contract until 2023 at PSV, and the Dutch side are not willing to sell him for cheap. The Mexican netted 17 times for PSV in the Eredivisie last season.

Apart from Bayern Munich and Barcelona, Arsenal and Liverpool have also  reportedly shown interest in signing the Mexican. United, however, are said to be the first side to make an offer for the winger.

Speaking to Univision back in 2017, Lozano said, “I believe many [leagues] are beautiful, I like the English and the Spanish very much,”.

“But let’s see how things are and decide. The one I would like most is Manchester, I like this club a lot, and it’s a very important club.”  added the winger.

With him showing interest in joining Manchester United, it's only a matter of getting a bid accepted for the Red Devils. It is also believed that Jim Lawlor, Manchester United's scout, has been keeping an eye on him for a long time.

Lozano's former club, Pachuca's president Jesus Martinez revealed in April 2016 that United were scouting him. “[The chief scout] has been coming here to do special reports on our players, but especially Chucky,” he told Fox Sports.

“We would love it if he had to go that it would be to a team like Manchester United or Porto.” added the president.
