Man Utd put on red alert after Lazio star’s agent reveals transfer intentions

MANCHESTER UNITED have been put on red alert after Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s agent revealed there is “huge” interest in the Serbian star.

The Lazio midfielder has been one of the biggest stars for Lazio this season who are having a very good season.

The Italian side are the highest-scoring team in the league, netting 64 times.

Milinkovic-Savic has contributed 11 goals and three assists from central-midfield, as well as making a series of eye-catching performances.

Led by Simone Inzaghi, Le Aquile are surpassing all expectations and are sitting third in Serie A, ahead of big-spending Inter Milan and AC Milan and Champions League outfit Roma.

And the 23-year-old’s performances have not gone unnoticed on the continent, with clubs from all of the majority of top leagues looking at him.

His agent, Mateja Kezman, is infamous for flopping at Chelsea.

But the Serbian footballer-turned-agent believes that fate will not befall his client, insisting he can become the best player in Europe.

He said: ”There's huge interest in him from great clubs in Italy, England, Spain and France.

'I don't want to talk about numbers, but I'm sure Sergej has it in him to be the best player in Europe in the next few years.

'Still, we'll talk about transfers at the end of the season, Lazio, for now, are playing great football and having an important season.

'We’re all focused on this.'

United are heavily linked with the Serbia international, but may need to speed up talks with Lazio.

Other clubs rumoured to be in for him are Paris St-Germain and Real Madrid.

The Italian club have slapped a whopping £100m price tag on him.
