JOSE MOURINHO has reportedly drawn up a list of six midfielders he wants Manchester United to try and buy this summer.
With Michael Carrick retiring and Marouane Fellaini's contract yet to be renewed Mourinho has already admitted a midfielder is high up on his priority list at the end of the season.
The United boss is already short of midfield options with Fellaini out injured while Ander Herrera picked up a knock in last week's 0-0 draw with Sevilla.
Scott McTominay has been given an opportunity by Mourinho in the first team and the United boss has been impressed with the 21-year-old so far.
But with Manchester City laying down the marker this season, United are desperate to close the gap and know they need a bigger squad in order to compete next year.
And the Daily Mail report United have listed six potential targets they are considering making a move in the summer for, with the hope they will sign two.
Real Madrid midfielder Kroos and Chelsea star Willian are two of the headline names on the list, valued at £30million and £40m respectively.
Victor Wanyama is another potential target with recent reports suggesting Tottenham could cash in on the former Southampton star at the end of the season.
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is expected to demand the most amount of money with Lazio willing to listen to offers of around £80m.
And then there are Jean Michael Seri and Jorginho who are both expected to leave their respective clubs in the summer.
Seri came close to joining Barcelona at the start of the season while United could face a fight with Liverpool to sign Jorginho.
