DAVID DE GEA stunned the BT Sport pundits with an incredible first-half save against Sevilla tonight.
De Gea somehow kept out a header from Sevilla striker Luis Muriel just before half time of the Champions League last-16 first-leg clash in Spain.
Muriel was allowed a free header after being picked out by former Manchester City winger Jesus Navas with a cross.
The striker should have scored but for David De Gea to pull off a stunning reaction save with his right hand.
The Spain No 1 kept the score at 0-0 after a tight first half in his home country.
Former Manchester United skipper Rio Ferdinand says he celebrated the moment as if the Red Devils had scored.
“It was unreal,” Ferdinand said.
“He’s been doing this for a couple of years now and I celebrated this like it was a goal for Man United, it was just phenomenal how he’s got there.
“Really the forward should not give him the opportunity to make the save but it’s not like it’s right at him.
“He’s there, he waits, and reacts.
“That’s just saved Manchester United and countless times he’s done that.”
The game ended 0-0 ahead of the second leg at Old Trafford next month.
