Cristiano Ronaldo makes safety demands to Juventus

Former Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has demanded his new team, Juventus, to provide him with no less than three body guards. The Portugal captain moved to Italy this summer for an Italian record of €105 million after a reported rift with the Galacticos.

However, he is yet to open his account with the Old Lady – but that hasn’t stopped him from making new demands from his new team. According to Corriere di Torino newspaper, the former Manchester United star doesn’t feel entirely comfortable in his villa in Gran Madre park.

The Portuguese feels that his accommodation is too exposed and wants three bodyguards. One of them will always have an eye on his family, the other to always guard the villa and the third one to stay with him at all times (obviously, not on the pitch).

The former Sporting starlet is slowly settling to his life in Italy as his son has already enrolled in Juventus’ youth academy. However, he is yet to score for his new team and didn’t take it too kindly that he lost the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year award to former Real Madrid team-mate Luka Modric.

Such was the distaste with the Croat winning it that Jorge Mendes, the number 7’s agent, and Ronaldo’s sister openly criticized the decision as they found it baffling that despite scoring 15 goals in Madrid’s road to their third Champions League glory in as many seasons, the superstar was snubbed by the voters.

Juventus will take on Parma later today and the Portugal number 7 will hope that he finally gets going in Italy by scoring for the Old Lady. But before that, Juventus might need to make him feel safer!
