Chelsea midfielder wants to return to Serie A

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has revealed that he is enjoying his new Premier League adventure, but hopes to return to the Serie A one day as it will always be ‘one of the best leagues in the world.’ The 26-year-old followed his boss Maurizio Sarri to Stamford Bridge earlier in the summer after a four-and-a-half year stint with Napoli.

He has played every minute of the league so far and already drawn plaudits for his performances.  The Blues are joint-top of the league ladder with Liverpool and Watford.

Praising the intensity and the physically demanding nature of the Premier League, he said, 'There is a big difference, in terms of rhythm, physicalness. Everybody knows this, of course, but I am enjoying it a lot.”

“I enjoy the high tempo of the matches and the fact that all the players get involved 100 per cent in the games. The Premier League is really nice, it's wonderful. It is also quite difficult to explain certain things. You need to experience them personally to take it all in,” he added.

'When you come to a training centre [Cobham] with 38 football pitches, there is no need for any comments. You just need to go see it.'

Having said that, he also expressed his desire to return to the Italian top flight one day. 'There were various things behind my departure from Napoli,' he exclaimed. 'The will of just one party is not enough. Serie A will always be one of the best leagues in the world. I hope to go back one day.'

Calling his former club Napoli ‘magnificent’, he continued, 'There's a difference in tempo and physicality between English and Italian football. However, you can't not miss a magnificent place such as Napoli.”

Jorginho and Chelsea host newcomers in Cardiff City post the international break as they look to maintain their perfect start to the season.
