LA Galaxy’s decision to release Ashley Cole comes as a surprise as the left-back was voted Player of the Year by the club’s supporters.  But this doesn’t look like the end of the road for the former Chelsea and Arsenal man as several Championship clubs in England are keen in his signature. Cole who made the switch to LA in 2016 was also the captain for the 2018 campaign. In his two seasons at the club, Cole has made 63 appearances while contributing two goals and five assists.

Championships clubs will be happy to have the quality of Cole in their ranks. The left-back started his career with Arsenal and was also a part of the Invincible squad that won the Premier League in 2004. He then moved to Chelsea where he won the Premier League on multiple occasions and the Champions League in 2012.
Cole also has 107 caps for England thus making him the 6th most capped player for the Three Lions.
