Barcelona make new bid for Willian – Reports

Barcelona have launched a second bid for Willian according to Daily Mail. The Catalan side are keen on signing the Chelsea winger and have made a bid of £60 million for him.

This is the second bid Barca have made for the Brazilian. Chelsea had rejected a £50 million bid from the Spanish side earlier this month.

Ernesto Valverde has reportedly told the board that he needs Willian at Camp Nou at any cost this summer. The manager is desperate for an energetic winger who can play on both sides.

The report claims that the Spanish giants have made a whopping £55 million plus £5m in add-ons bid this time around. Chelsea are still not willing to let go of the Brazilian as they value him at about £75 million.

Apart from Barca, Manchester United are also said to be interested in signing him. Jose Mourinho is a big fan of his and played a huge part in taking him to Stamford Bridge. The manager tried to sign him last summer as well, but Chelsea made it clear that he was not for sale at any cost.

Willian is also looking to leave this summer and wants to join Philippe Coutinho at Camp Nou as per the report. When asked about moving to Nou Camp, Willian said: “Well, they are excellent players with a lot of quality. In addition to great players, they are very good friends.”

“People speculate a lot. We see a lot of things on the internet, but this is not the time to talk about this. I've not received any information about that. I'm trying to focus on my performance, playing for Brazil.” added the winger.

Chelsea are very much likely to reject this new bid by Barcelona as well and hold out for £75 million.
