Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United target Leon Bailey drops massive transfer hint

BAYER LEVERKUSEN star Leon Bailey has dropped a massive transfer hint.

The winger was heavily linked with moves to Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United last month but a deal never materialised.

However, all three clubs could reignite their interest in Bailey at the end of the season as they look to close the gap to Premier League leaders Manchester City.

And the 20-year-old has expressed his desire to move on to a “big” club once he has achieved his goal with Leverkusen.

But he wants to build his reputation before potentially moving to the English top flight.

'Leverkusen is perfect for me,' he told Bild.

'I want to develop and then I can take the next step.

“When I move to a big club, the people there will want to know me.

'I want to make a name for myself at the highest level.'

Bailey also wants to win trophies with Leverkusen before he leaves to help rid them of the nickname ‘Neverkusen’ which his side have been given after a 25 year wait for silverware.

“If we go to the cup final, we’ll win it, I promise,” he continued.

“That would be the end of Neverkusen.”
