We are just six matches away from the Playoffs of T10 League and contest for reaching that stage is heating up. Here is a review of the action in the last three days.

Punjabi Legends defend 107 runs against Kerala Knights

Batting first, the Legends were languishing at 80/5 in 8.3 overs. Chris Jordan came to the rescue and smashed a quickfire 24 from seven balls to propel the team total to 107/5 in 10 overs. Chris Gayle with his 35 from 19 balls threatened to take the game away but Jordan dismissed him. Hassan Khan subsequently ran through the Kerala batting lineup to end up with 4/21. The Legends claimed a 36-run win.

Maratha Arabians decimate Rajputs in a one-sided war

The star-studded batting unit of the Rajputs failed to turn up against the Arabians. Only Ben Dunk scored in double figures and the team was bundled up in just 63/7 in 10 overs. Hazaratullah Zazai launched an onslaught (29 from 12 balls) as the Arabians cantered to win in just five overs.

Warriors prevail in a thriller versus Sindhis

The T10 League witnessed its first thrilling contest as the Northern Warriors sneaked to a win on the last ball of the game with the last pair batting. Shane Watson led the Sindhi’s charge and riding on his fifty, team scored 91/6 in 10 overs.

The Warriors kept losing regular wickets but were in the driver’s seat when they needed only eight runs from the last over. Isuru Udana struck thrice and Warriors required one run to win from the last ball with the last batsman batting. Viljoen and Gurney managed to sneak a bye run and achieved a thrilling win.

Rajputs dominate Punjabi Legends

Batting first, the Rajputs enjoyed contributions from their senior batsmen as all Mohammad Shehzad, Brendon McCullum, Rilee Roussow and Carlos Brathwaite got into the twenties. The target of 118 runs proved too much for the Legends as Rajputs’ bowlers bowled with excellent discipline.

Pakhtoons chase 126 to overcome Maratha Arabians

The Afghan power of Najibullah Zadran 36(14) and Rashid Khan 21(7) boosted the Arabians to the team score of 125/6. The Pakhtoons fought hard and thanks to a fiery 35(16) from Shafiqullah and 42(13) from Colin Ingram, they managed to chase 126 in just 9.2 overs.

The Pakhtoons are the current leader with four wins from their five games. The Northern Warriors have three wins in four matches and are at the second spot. Rajputs and Bengal Tigers complete the top-four lineup.
