T10 League 2019: Watch Shahpoor Zadran Give His Afghanistan Teammate Mohammad Shahzad an Insulting Send-Off

Who says there is no rivalry between teammates. In the ongoing T10 League 2019, Shahpoor Zadran and Mohammad Shahzad who are playing for Karnataka Tuskers and Deccan Gladiators respectively showed it when the two of them came face to face in the 10th match of the season. Playing for different teams in the league, both Shahzad and Zadran are teammates in the Afghanistan national cricket team.

In the video, Zadran can be seen castling the stumps of Shahzad who played down the wrong line of a relatively straight delivery. After dismissing Shahzad, Zadran pushed him on his way back to the pavilion. The incident happened in the second over of the innings with the Gladiators chasing 111 to win. Zadran dismissing Shahzad could not stop his team from ultimately losing the contest. The video has become viral on social media.

Zadran pushed Shahzad in anger back on his return to the pavilion.

The group stage of the T10 League is over and the Super League stage has already begun. Shahzad has been in absolute top form for the Gladiators scoring 83 runs in 4 games. He scored 57 in the last game against the Qalandars, while Zadran has just picked up three wickets in three games.

Meanwhile, Shahzad was suspended by the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) for an indefinite period of time following his breach of the code of conduct laid out by the board. He was banned by the board on account of travelling out of the country without seeking permission of the governing board.

“As per ACB’s policies, any player travelling out of the country is required to seek the permission of ACB. Shahzad has not adhered to this, repetitively” read a statement issued by the ACB.

Shahzad, on his part also shared a video where he was seen to shed tears while accepting his guilt. He also said that the board was gulity of declaring him unfit to play despite him being fit like any other cricketer.

“I still don’t know why I was ruled unfit when I was fit enough to play. Some people in the board (ACB) have conspired against me. Only manager, doctor and the captain knew that I was going to be replaced. Even the coach (Phil Simmons) found out much later. It was heart-breaking,” Shahzad had told in a video he posted on social media.

The Gladiators currently top the table in the group stage with 6 points from four games while the Tuskers are languishing down the bottom with two points from three games.
