Why Maratha Arabians Can Win T10 League 2019 Title

Owned by Bollywood actor and producer Sohail Khan along with Parvez Khan (Chairman – Pacific Ventures & Pacific Sports Club), Maratha Arabians looks the strongest side on paper for the upcoming third edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 League.

The team led by West Indian all-rounder Dwayne Bravo, finished third on the points table with six points (3 wins, 3 losses) in the last edition of the tournament. Former explosive Indian opener Virender Sehwag led them in the last two editions of the tournament. Now Yuvraj Singh has replaced Sehwag in the team as the only Indian player to sign this league.

Apart from Yuvraj, the team also has Australian T20 specialist Chris Lynn (Icon Player), Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga and left-arm seven-footer from Pakistan Mohammad Irfan.

Promising Afghanistan players, Hazratullah Zazai and Najibullah Zadran are also a part of the squad.

This team has few of the most experienced and well-traveled T20 players which makes the team certainly one of the contenders this season. Lynn, Yuvraj, Bravo and Malinga have a wealth of experience playing T20 cricket for a while now. Infact, all of them have been part of really successful IPL franchisees over the years which makes them key players for the franchise.

The Arabians play the season opener against on Friday, November 15. With the likes of Malinga, Yuvraj, Lynn and Bravo in the team, the Arabians will certainly attract the crowd whenever they play in the league.

The Arabians will be coached by former Zimbabwean wicketkeeper-batsman Andy Flower. Flower has played 63 Tests and 213 ODI scoring over 12000 international runs. He was also a former England coach between 2013 and 2014 and also relished the position of England Cricket Board’s (ECB) Technical Director for a brief period as well.

The experience of all the players in the squad is what makes this team the favorites to win the title this year. Which team can give it a tough competition in the tournament is worthy to look out for.
