T10 League 2019 Day 10 Results: Arabians Lift Title, Gladiators Finish Runners-Up, Tigers Third on the Points Table

After 9 days of hard-fought and competitive cricket, the T10 League finally came to a close with the final game between the Maratha Arabians and Deccan Gladiators.

The season was entertaining with records being created and broken, From close games to a tied contest to matches being abandoned due to bizarre reasons, this season has seen it all. Also what it has done is that it has left fans with more expectations in the next seasons to come.

Here’s how the final two matches of the tournament panned out.

3rd Place: Bangla Tigers vs Qalandars

Bangla Tigers beat the Qalandars by six wickets to finish third on the points table. Andre Fletcher (52) and Rilee Rossouw (31) added 73 for the first wicket to set the chase for the Tigers chasing 110 for victory. Skipper Thisara Perera than hit the winning runs on the very first delivery that he faced. Andre Fletcher won the Man of the Match for his fifty for the Tigers.

The Qalandars found batting difficult against a classy bowling outfit. Dawid Malan (24), Luke Ronchi (19), Phil Salt (30) and Peter Trego (23) all got starts but failed to get a fifty-plus score which was important on the night. They finally scored 109-3 which was too little for the night.

T10 League 2019 Final: Maratha Arabians vs Deccan Gladiators

The Maratha Arabians lifted the T10 2019 title by beating the Deccan Gladiators by 8 wickets. Chadwick Walton after a hat-trick of run-outs scored an unbeaten 51 to anchor the Arabians to a win and get their maiden T10 title. Chris Lynn (16 off 10) and Najibullah Zadran (12 off 5) played their part as well in a chase of 88.

The Gladiators faltered with the bat in the final as they lost their skipper Shane Watson early in the piece. UAE batsman Asif Khan scored 25 and Bhanuka Rajapaksa 25 to take the Gladiators to the total. Ben Cutting who was the Man of the Match in the Eliminator against the Qalandars was sent out to bat as late as number seven. Kieron Pollard also failed to get going the bat which added to the misery of the Gladiators.

While defending the total, their bowlers were blown away early by Walton thereby taking them out of the winning context early in the chase.
