Qatar T10 League 2019, Match 6: Pearl Gladiators vs Desert Riders Preview And Dream XI Predictions

The Qatar T10 League 2019 has seen 5 matches being played till now with the sixth match between the Pearl Gladiators and Desert Riders all set to be played at the Asian Town Stadium in Doha on Tuesday. One thing which has been common in all the matches so far is that all the teams have won their matches chasing.
Desert Riders, who are playing the first game of the night are topping the points table at the moments with four points from two games having won both their matches. Skipper Mohammad Hafeez played a captain’s knock of an unbeaten 45 to help his team chase down a score of 96 in 10 overs. He was ably supported by Muhammad Tanveer and Adnan Mirza scoring twenties each. Their bowlers also did a good job to restrict their opponents under a 100. WIth other teams finding it difficult to figure out a winning combination, the Riders seem to have found one.

Against the Gladiators, who have lost their first game of the Qatar T10 League 2019 and at the bottom of the points table, they would like to follow the same template. The Pearl Gladiators, on the other hand, did not up a fighting total in the first game. Their batting effort did not put up the runs and neither their bowling attack looked confident of defending it. As it turned out, 84 was never a tough target to chase for the opponents the Flying Oryx.
Interestingly, the team with the best bowlers in the tournament Mohammad Irfan, Mohammad Sami and Ajantha Mendis did not play any of the three in the first game of the Qatar T10 League 2019. All of them are expected to make a return for the Gladiators in this game to give them the best chance of winning. With the bat, they need to give Sharjeel Khan, Pakistan opener a game to help them post a respectable total.
The Desert Riders have the likes of Sohail Tanvir and Oshane Thomas to make up for the trio of the Gladiators. With the bat, they have Mohammad Hafeez, the captain of the side to take the charge. Khurram Manzoor is another Pakistan batsman who can pair up with Hafeez and do the damage. Adnan Mirza and Muhammad Tanveer can share responsibilities in the middle-order.
With two competitive teams and adequate quality in both bowling and batting departments, the first game of the Qatar T10 League 2019 on Tuesday evening is expected to be an even contest. Whether this match changes the trend of chasing teams winning the game remains to be seen.
