Rahane was traded by Delhi Capitals ahead of the IPL 2020 auctions from Rajasthan Royals. Rahane’s addition strengthens the batting line-up and how he will be expected to open the batting along with Shikhar Dhawan for the Delhi side. A consistent performer for the Royals over the years, it will be interesting to see how does he contribute to Delhi and how he fits in the scheme of things for the Ponting coached side. Rahane also brings in the necessary experience in an otherwise young Delhi batting line-up. He along with Shikhar Dhawan now becomes key openers for Delhi and should take the responsibility of scoring the majority of runs at the top of the order knowing the inexperienced middle-order with names like Iyer, Rishabh Pant and Shimron Hetmyer. Rahane, thus becomes the second DC player to watch out for in IPL 2020.

Ashwin’s addition strengthens the spin core of Delhi with names like Amit Mishra, Sandeep Lamichhane and Axar Patel. There is a possibility that all three might play together for the franchise and if this happens, it will be a good impetus for the Capitals. Ashwin, who led KXIP in 28 games with 12 wins and 16 losses, is one of the most experienced players in the tournament having made his debut way back in 2009. Ashwin has 125 IPL wickets from 139 games at an economy rate of 6.79 and is another DC player to watch out for in IPL 23.

Rabada has been a sensation in the IPL since he has joined the franchise. He had a season to remember in IPL 2019 and would look to carry on the form for his side. He is one of the most feared fast bowlers in world cricket at the moment with his accurate bouncers and toe crushing yorkers. He has also taken over the mantle of the Protean bowling attack with Shaun Pollock retired and Dale Steyn in the wane of his career. He finished with 11 wickets in the ICC World Cup 2019.

Stoinis has found form at the knick of time for Delhi Capitals as he becomes yet another DC player to watch out for in IPL 2020. Stoinis started his career with Kings XI Punjab in 2016 and then was picked up by Royal Challengers Bangalore who did not use his potential to their advantage.
