IPL 2020: 5 Best Signings in the Indian Premier League Auction 2020

The IPL 2020 auction threw up many surprises but some teams did manage to have the last laugh in terms of great signings. There were a few signings that were right on the money in terms of value. Here’s looking at the best 5 signings made in the IPL 2020 auction:

5 Best Signings in IPL Auction 2020

  1. Eoin Morgan (England) KKR had a great signing in Morgan who was picked up for Rs. 5.25 crore. Morgan is a World-Cup winning captain for England and is known for being an explosive batsman and exceptional leader. His addition is great news for a struggling Kolkata team which has to regain its mojo in the next season. He may become their next captain as well while providing more solidity in the middle-order. His experience will naturally make things easier for Dinesh Karthik as well.
  2. Chris Lynn (Australia) Lynn was released from KKR in the trade window and everyone thought that he would be bought back for a lower price in the IPL 2020 auction. However, he has now been picked up by Mumbai Indians for just Rs. 2 crore which is 5 times lower than his salary last year. This is a major value addition for Mumbai considering Lynn’s explosive form in the recently held T10 League and his prowess at the top of the order.
  3. Yashasvi Jaiswal (India) Rajasthan Royals had a good signing in Yashasvi Jaiswal who came for Rs. 2.40 crore. Jaiswal can be the new star of the 2020 IPL and has already made headlines for scoring a double hundred in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, becoming the youngest player to do so. He is also one of the highest run scorers in the tournament. He can lend more stability to the opening combination at RR and form a fabulous combination with the dangerous Jos Buttler.
  4. Sam Curran (England) Chennai Super Kings picked up Curran for Rs. 5.50 crore and this is another value deal since Curran has the ability to change the game in the last few overs with the bat and is a handy bowler as well. He will increase both batting and bowling abilities of the team if included. He will be a good investment for Chennai and will surely add another dimension in the field with his fielding exploits. He can be a good bet for the Power-Play overs and may form a great combination with Deepak Chahar as his bowling partner.
  5. Alex Carey (Australia)- Delhi Capitals bought Carey for Rs. 2.40 crore and he can be a great buy with his ability to finish games impeccably. He can be a floater in the batting order for piling up fast runs whenever needed by the team. He is also good as a wicketkeeper as proved by his performance in the World Cup. Carey had a record-breaking 18 catches in the premier tournament and will be a great acquisition for the IPL franchise by all means.

These players are all value deals in the IPL 2020 auctions and will be great investments for their franchises as predicted by experts.
