Bangladesh Premier League 2019-20 Schedule, Teams & Time Table

Bangladesh Premier League is a professional T20 cricket tournament in Bangladesh. The 2019–20 BPL season also known as BPL 7 or Bangabandhu BPL is scheduled to start from December 11 and end on 16 January 2020, with the opening ceremony is going to be held on 8 December 2019. BPL 2019-20 was originally scheduled to start from 6 December and end on 11 January 2020, with the opening ceremony to be held on 3 December 2019. This T20 league for this season will be named after the father of the nation, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, to mark his 100th birth anniversary. Comilla Victorians are the current defending champions.

Bangladesh Cricket Board will conduct this year tournament following a similar model to Australia’s T20 Tournament “Big Bash League” as they failed to resolve the issues with franchises, who had demanded a share of revenue. According to BCB president Nazmul Hasan, Bangladesh Premier League 2019-20 players draft take place on 17 November 2019. BPL 2019/20 Squad Rules

  • Maximum 19 players in the squad (min 9/max 11 domestic and 6 foreign)
  • Each team must have one foreign fast bowler who can bowl 140+ kph
  • Each team must have one leg-spinner
  • Playing 11 will have max four overseas players
