Update on Batista’s role at WWE SmackDown 1000

With the WWE SmackDown Live's 1000th episode set to go on-air from the Capital One Arena in Washington DC on October 16, WWE have already announced a list of legendary Superstars who will be appearing on the show which includes a Washington DC native, The Animal, Batista.

While there is no official word on what he will be doing on the show, PWInsider has stated that Batista might not be wrestling at SmackDown 1000, but the event will be used to set up a match down the road for him.

Batista has been quite vocal about making a return to pro-wresting as he recently said that he thinks about wrestling again on a daily basis. He has also expressed his desire to have another run with the WWE.

It has been confirmed that the multiple-time World Champion will be accompanied by his Evolution stablemates Ric Flair, who will be returning to WWE after 2016 when he appeared to congratulate his daughter Charlotte for winning the WWE SmackDown Live Women's title from Natalya, WWE COO Triple H, who has been a regular on WWE Raw and The Viper Randy Orton, who is already a part of the SmackDown roster.

This is also the first time that Evolution, as a stable, will be appearing on the blue brand.

While their appearance is confirmed, there is no official word or spoiler on what the four legends will do. While one can expect Triple H to confront The Undertaker, who will be appearing on the show, the other three could be having The Game's back and it won't be a surprise if Batista turns on Triple H to sow the seeds for his dream feud against the Hunter.

Apart from Batista, Ric Flair and Triple H, the likes of Kane, The Undertaker, Rey Mysterio, Edge, Vickie Guerrero, Michelle McCool, and Torrie Wilson were announced to be a part of the historic episode.
