Khabib Nurmagomedov targets Brock Lesnar after WWE’s offer

Ahead of UFC 229 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada that happened over the last weekend, a lot of attention was given to the UFC Lightweight Championship bout between the champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, who is undefeated in the promotion and former featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor. Just like any other McGregor bout, the build-up to the fight was on fire as the Irishman tried to get under the skin of his Russian rival.

The bout lived up to its expectation as Khabib made the Notorious tap out with a rear naked choke submission in the fourth round to retain his lightweight title and that's when the real drama began. After his win, Khabib jumped out of the octagon to confront Dillion Danis to spark wild scenes and was involved in a mass brawl.

His team members, who were inside the cage, attacked McGregor and it faced a lot of criticisms from experts and fans including the UFC President Dana White, who called the actions “disgusting”. Following what happened after the match, both the fighters were punished and were suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission as they investigate the shocking incident.

Khabib has already warned UFC that he will walk away from the promotion if they sack his friend Zubaira Tukhugov for hitting McGregor.

With both Khabib and McGregor suspended, it looks like the Champion has an offer on the table already from the world’s largest wrestling promotion, WWE, according to his latest tweet earlier today. It looks like the Russian has already set his sights and has also teased a rivalry against former UFC heavyweight king and former WWE Universal champion Brock Lesnar.

In his tweet, Khabib wrote, “WWE ask me to jump inside. What do you guys think #SmashLesnar #FakeFights.”

But, the #FakeFights hashtag at the end of the tweet suggests that Khabib is just taking a dig at WWE and is not interested in making a switch even if there was an offer from WWE on the table.
